Alex Leroy Koch, age 81, passed away on March 24, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1945, in LaSalle, Colorado to LeeRoy and Ruth (Bauming) Koch.

Alex proudly served his country in the United States Army, including service in Vietnam. During his time in the military, he was injured in the line of duty and was awarded a Purple Heart, a testament to his courage and sacrifice.

He was previously married to Gloria (Margheim) Koch, and together they had two children, Michael Koch and Carrie (Koch) Miller.

Alex devoted his professional life to serving others, working for the State of Colorado with Job Service, where he focused on supporting fellow veterans. After his retirement, he relocated to Bella Vista, Arkansas.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures—spending time on the golf course, appreciating cars, and dancing, especially polka and country music.

Alex will be remembered for his service, his dedication to family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LeeRoy and Ruth Koch and his sister, Ruby Kospa.

Alex is survived by his son, Michael Koch; his daughter, Carrie (Curtis) Miller; and his beloved granddaughters, Breanna Koch and Kylee Koch. He is also survived by his sisters, Virginia Fellows, Betty Yowell, and Rachel Woods.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 3-5pm at Gusano's Pizza, 19 Cunningham Corner, Bella Vista, AR 72714. Please drive your favorite vehicle, something Alex would have loved to see.
