Obituary

Ashleigh Lauren Hudson peacefully departed this world on May 31, 2023, surrounded by her parents, her brother, and friends.

Ashleigh was born on August 19, 1985, in Helena, AR, to Ricky and Brenda Hudson. She graduated from Barton High School in 2003. She continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and she also had a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.

Ashleigh loved her geriatric and psych patients. While others didn't want to work with them, Ashleigh opened her heart to them. She always maintained the highest level of care for them. She never tolerated any mistreatment of her patients. She did have some of her favorites and she grieved deeply when they passed but she is with them now in Heaven. There are so many lives that she has touched, not just her patients but their families as well. Ashleigh did so many things for her patients, like making blueberry pancakes at 4 o'clock in the morning because that was what her patient wanted, and the family loved Ashleigh for doing that. She bought art supplies for an elderly man because he was an artist and wanted to paint and decorate his room for the holidays, and buying a certain kind of cookie for her sweet little patient and keeping her supplied in them because this sweet little lady did not have any family. There are so many more stories that could be told, these are only a few.

Ashleigh had such a good, sweet heart and would always make sure everyone was taken care of before she took care of herself. She loved the beach and that was her special place and she loved seeing the sun rise and set on the beach.

Ashleigh had a condition called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) that had developed in the last five years and in the last two years of her life it had become more difficult for her to manage. POTS is an uncommon disease and not easily recognized. It is only now being researched for treatment options. Ashleigh fought it to the very end.

She is survived by her parents, Ricky, and Brenda of Bella Vista; her brother, Brian of Bentonville; and her Aussiepoo, Leo that she loved deeply.
