Barbara Jernigan was born September 11, 1940, in Sanger, Texas to Oscar Franklin and Anne Mae Brown Weeks. She passed away at her home on July 23, 2022 in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Barbara spent much of her life in Colorado where she raised her family and worked as a legal secretary/office manager for the law firm Sherman and Howard. She moved to Bella Vista, AR in 2011 with her son, William (aka Bill) Jernigan who has been her devoted care giver.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her brother Larry Weeks. She is survived by the loves of her life: sons Terry (Laurie) Nash of Bellbrook, Ohio; Bill Jernigan, of the home and Perry (Kim) Jernigan of Norfolk, VA. Grandchildren Ryan Nash and Kevin (Tyler) Nash of Ohio; Zack Jernigan of South Carolina, Chelsey (Erik) Nielsen of Little Rock, Arkansas; James Jernigan, Hannah (Leo) Schoeninger and Brooke Jernigan of Colorado; and Brittney (Tim) Lyysic of Missouri, Wade Jernigan of Virginia plus eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Helen) Weeks of Bella Vista, AR; son-of-her-heart, Ricky Jan of Colorado and her very special little buddy, Cody Myrick of the home.
