Obituary

Betty Alice Boling, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away on June 17, 2025. She was born to Ben A. Boling and Rosie Mae Callison on September 8, 1943, in Strawberry, Arkansas where they lived on a ranch. The family moved to Michigan in 1946 and purchased a home on Parr Highway. Betty attended Madison Schools in Palmyra, Michigan and she graduated in 1961.

Betty lived at Parr Hwy until she met Eric Stull and married him on November 30, 1963, and they moved to Chicago. Betty and Eric were married for 4 years before divorcing in 1968.

Betty attended Patricia Stevens Career College and Finishing School in Chicago in 1968. After completing her studies, she moved back to Michigan. She met John June and they were married in 1973 and moved into a home next to her mom and dad on Parr Highway in Adrian. She also attended cake decorating school and earned a Master Certificate in Wedding Cake decoration. Betty was also a foster mom and fostered 3 children while married to John. John and Betty were divorced after 4 years of marriage.

She continued to live on Parr Highway next to her mom and dad for several years. She went to insurance school and found a job at Gleaner Life Insurance which she absolutely loved, and where she worked until retirement. Her parents moved to Arkansas in 1985, and she moved into the parent's home where she lived for several more years. She connected with Eric again early in 1995 and they were remarried July 29, 1995. She became stepmom to Eric's 3 children and really enjoyed being a "mom" again.

Betty was baptized in 2008 at the Jasper Bible Church in Michigan. She and Eric were faithful church attendees, and she volunteered her time to help others.

After retiring in 2012, Betty and Eric moved to Arkansas in 2013 to be closer to her family. They bought a house and settled into life in Northwest Arkansas where they joined many clubs. They were members of the Bella Vista Garden Club, the Questers Club, Gleaner Founders Day Club, the YMCA and her sorority club where she maintained her connection with her sorority sisters from her college days. Her hobbies included reading historical romance novels, outdoor gardening of herbs and flowers, card making and stamping, jewelry making, collecting antiques and crystal dishes. She loved cats so much she had 27 at one time. Her favorite holidays were Easter and Christmas although she decorated for all the holidays, and her home was quite a showplace.

She and Eric were also team members in a bowling league in Rogers, Arkansas.

Betty is survived by her husband, Eric Stull; his three children, Sean of Florida, and Ryan and Heidi, both of Michigan; her brother, Don Boling's children, Linda Simons (Dave) of Pittsford, MI; Julie Winn (Bobbie) of Rogers, AR; Valerie Rinehart (Tim) of Defuniak Springs, Florida; Ben Boling of Rogers, AR and Lori (Joe) Thompson of Rogers, AR; and several cousins and extended family in Rogers, Arkansas and the one last final kitty, Sugar.
