Betty Jean Stidham Hendricks passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 70. Betty was the heart and soul of her family, known for her unwavering love, kindness, and the warmth she brought to every room she entered.
Born on January 15, 1955, in Portales, New Mexico, Betty grew up in a small town where she developed a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple joys of life. She married her high school sweetheart, Gene Hendricks, in 1990, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Betty was known for her deep devotion to her children and grandchildren, and her ability to make anyone feel welcome. Her infectious smile and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether hosting family gatherings or simply offering a listening ear, Betty's selflessness and generosity were felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Preceded in joining the Lord: mother and father, Delmos "Dee" Stidham and Edith Elsie Brown Stidham; son, Sean Anthony Wilhite; brothers, Harlon "Big" Roy Stidham, Earon "Lid" Stidham, Billy Stidham, Carl Stidham and Lawrence Stidham; and sister, Fern Brinkley.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Gene Hendricks; sons, Jamie Wilhite and Jeff Wilhite; stepchildren, Marcus Hendricks, Sammy Hendricks, Jessica Elmore, and Melissa Johnson; sisters, Islamae Arnold, Doris McDougal, Mary Sue Boling, Lynda Kay Russow, Edith Faye Hudson; brothers, David Stidham and Raymond Stidham; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, as well as several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista, Arkansas on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m.
