Billy R. Shields, 74, of Gravette, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer.

Billy was born on March 19, 1952, to Evelyn and Grover Shields, of Gravette, Arkansas. He grew to be a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by dedication to the people and communities he loved.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, Billy built a successful career in sales with Chore-Time Brock, where he was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and lasting relationships.

Billy was deeply committed to his family, his faith, gardening, and his community. He was actively involved in his church and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the steady presence he provided to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marylee Raby, who passed away in February of this year.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Shields; his sons, David Shields and Daniel Shields (Daniel's wife Amy); stepson, Adam Kalmbach; his five cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Laura Wood.

A memorial service will be held in celebration of his faith and legacy at First Christian Church of Gravette, 301 1st Ave NE, Gravette, AR 72736 on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Billy's legacy lives on through the love he gave so freely and the many lives he touched.
