Bobby Eugene Cearley passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on June 28, 1943, to Irene Hunley Cearley and Ward Cearley.

Bob married Kathy Barehead in 1965 and began his lifelong career in construction, working for various businesses including Coble Construction, Jay Public Schools, and Delaware County Friendship Homes.

For Bob, his children and grandchildren were the most important things in his life. Even though he couldn't attend many of their events, he cherished them dearly and lived vicariously through the memories they shared with him.

Despite several bouts of health issues, Bob was a fighter and lived life to the fullest. Later in life, he moved to Rogers, Arkansas, to be closer to his team of doctors, but his heart always remained in Jay, Oklahoma.

Bob had several passions, including cooking, sewing, and cheering on his favorite football team, the OU Sooners. He was the seamstress of Marada, where he lived and each of his grandchildren had a special quilt handmade by Bob. He was known as a great cook but later in life he was the resident "jerky maker". He gave the Razorback fans a run for their money by cheering on his beloved OU Sooners. He was always the life of the party, often sporting a wildly printed shirt.

Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched during his time on Earth.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Wayne, Duane, and Howard Cearley, and Raymond Wilson.

He is survived by his brother, Phillip Cearley and wife, Francis of Grove, Oklahoma; his children, Kim Fernandez and husband, Bill of Gravette, Arkansas, Robert Cearley and wife, Kate of Grove, Oklahoma, Alicia Jory and husband, Waylon of Jay, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Savanah Bennett, Dylan Fernandez (Grace), Devon Fernandez (Hannah), Daltyn Jory, James Stonebarger, Kathryn Jory, Graham Cearley; two great-grandchildren Jayden Bennett and Jordan Bennett; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his favorite Special Olympics team, the Fighting Peacocks, at PO Box 903, Vinita, OK 74301.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, in Jay, Oklahoma at the First Baptist Church, 503 N 4th St. Jay, OK 72736 at 2:00 p.m.
