With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Carol Sue Scott, who entered eternal rest on September 24, 2025, at the age of 80.

Sue was born on August 16, 1945, to Aileen and Alvia Nowlin. A woman of strong faith, she lived her life guided by Christ and was a shining example of devotion, love, and grace. She had a fierce love for her family and was the proud matriarch who held everyone together with her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering strength.

She married the love of her life in May of 1962 and together they built a home filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. On the day of her passing, Sue was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her beloved husband, Raymond Scott, her parents, and her sisters, Carolyn Henderson and Linda McMaster.

She is survived by her brother, Mike Nowlin of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her children, Sherri Scott of Maysville, Arkansas and Ray Scott and wife, Angela of Maysville, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Brad Daugherty and wife, Brooke of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma;  Trevor Daugherty of Maysville, Arkansas;  Brittney Marstiller and husband, Chris of Rogers, Arkansas; and Jacob Scott of Rogers, Arkansas. Sue was also blessed with five great-grandchildren; Brycen, Zoe, Hudson, Evelyn and Annie, along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved as her own.

Sue enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching old westerns. She loved having a house full of family and friends and made sure nobody went away hungry and that everyone felt loved and cared for!

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Maysville Missionary Baptist Church, 12016 North Highway 43, Maysville, Arkansas 72747, followed by a funeral service to honor Sue's life at 10:00 a.m., and burial at Maysville Cemetery.

Her family finds peace knowing she is reunited in heaven with her loved ones, and they take comfort in the immeasurable love she left behind.
