Charles Richard Beam, 88, of Bella Vista/Bentonville, AR died on February 17, 2026, at his home in Bentonville. Charles was born on December 8, 1937, in Coffeyville, KS to his parents Ora Gerald Beam & Flossie Irene (Moberly) Beam.

Charles attended Coffeyville Public Schools, graduating from Field Kinley High School in May of 1955, and Coffeyville Community College in May 1957. He married (Thelma) Carlene Chambers on November 3, 1957. They were married 68 years before her passing on November 21, 2025. He worked for Howard Swift Construction for 20+ years and began Beam Construction in the mid 1970's. He closed the business upon retirement in 2002.

He was a proud member of the First Christian Church of Coffeyville, KS and the Highland Christian Church of Bella Vista, AR. He was deeply involved with the Lions Club organization for many years in KS and AR.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlene; his parents; his brother, Gary; and granddaughter, Robin Ihry.

He is survived by his son, Bruce (Nicki) Beam and their children: Kevin, Carson, & Caylee Beam of Edmond, OK; daughter, Brenda (Dean) Ihry and their children: Brandon (Karrie) Beam and their son, Bodhi (great-grandson due March 26, 2026) of Lowell, AR and Kelsey (Wyatt) Carlson and their son, Colter (great-grandson) of Valley City, ND; two sisters, Pat English of Dallas, TX and Sue Andrews of Coffeyville, KS; and sister-in-law, Wanda Purkey of Coffeyville, KS.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715. Visitation with family will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
