Cheryl Lee Leonard, 72, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.  She was born November 14, 1951, in Grove, Oklahoma, a devoted daughter to the late Jane Collins.

She is survived by her beloved sister and brother, Jean Martin and David Hickey.  She was their best friend, greatest supporter, and always there for late night phone calls when they needed.

She married her sweetheart, Danny Leonard, on May 27, 1972.  They shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Cheryl loved people and always enjoyed working.  She spent several years working for Little Debbie, Gravette School System, and eventually retired after working at Walmart for many years.

Cheryl's greatest accomplishment and light of her life was her family.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Danny; daughter, Shelly (Leonard) Frye and husband Michael Lay; son, Colby Leonard and wife Andrea (Havely) Leonard; five beautiful grandchildren, Luke Frye, DeLaney Frye, Bailey Leonard, Cashton Frye, and Lilliana Leonard, and her cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715 from 6pm to 8pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, at Olympus North Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma at 2pm with JR Morgan officiating.

Pallbearers will be Colby Leonard, Michael Lay, Philip Dugan, Kelly Duncan, Joseph Martinez, and Bill Thomas.

She will be terribly missed by her loved ones, extended family and friends who treasured her greatly.
