Obituary

Christine K. (Boothe) Kline, "The Cookie Lady," was born August 5, 1950, in Fillmore, Millard County, Utah. She passed through the veil at approximately 2:10 p.m. on the 28th of April 2026, in the Washington Regional Medical Center ICU in Fayetteville, Washington County, AR.

She is the Eternal Companion of Michael Kline, having accepted his question of "Did you mean it? Would you really marry me?" with a "Why not?" in 1969. Christine was born on the night of August 5, 1950, but for her first 16 years the family celebrated her birthday on the 6th of August and it wasn't until her father, Leland Harmon Boothe, got a job offer in Honduras that they actually looked at the birth certificate for her passport and discovered that it was really August the 5th. Sealed for all time and eternity by Gordon B. Hinckley on December 5, 1969, in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We have three wonderful daughters, Catherine LaRie (Kline) Day and husband, George Robert Day, and Amanda Marie (Kline) Weston and husband, Justin Weston. There is a beloved grandson, Michael Drew Day, living in San Tan Valley, AZ, with her three fantastic great grandchildren, Ephram James Day, Donaphin George Day, and Daphne Lee Day. And all the "Cookie Kids" that she loved and grew in her neighborhood over 26 years. Then there is Rebecca Kay Kline, born on February 16, 1972, in Utah, who preceded Christine in death on April 18, 2004, in Bella Vista, AR.  After 56-plus years of marriage and many thousands of miles, she will be laid to rest on May 15th in the Bella Vista Cemetery in Bella Vista, Benton County, AR, "just a little West of Eden."

A resident of Bella Vista in northwest Arkansas since June of 1994, Christine will be remembered for her sweet attitude and the abundance of cookies she shared with children and friends. Throughout her life, Christine has blessed countless families and individuals with morsels of goodness and love, from her childhood home in Utah, to California, North Dakota, Washington state, Texas, Iceland, Washington D.C., and Arkansas, she has loved people and been loved by them.

Christine has been cremated. Her ashes will be inurned in the Bella Vista Cemetery, not far from Rebecca's grave. A memorial service for her will be held on May 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1 Lambeth Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72714. If you're up to it, bring your favorite cookie. She'd love that.
