Connie Kathryn
Metters
Jan 10, 1950 — May 17, 2026
Bella Vista
Connie Kathryn Metters (née Cerutti) passed away after a brief illness on May 17, 2026. She was 76 years old.
With her warm smile and joyful laugh Connie brightened the day of anyone who was lucky enough to meet her. Born January 10, 1950, in Dodgeville, WI, the fourth of eight children of Bill and Jeanette Cerutti, Connie spent her childhood exploring the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin on her bike and jumping on the feather bed of her beloved Grandma Graf.
After high school Connie attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for JC Penney in Milwaukee. After living in Europe for several years, she and her daughter, Lydia, settled in Rockford, IL, where in 1988 she met and married the love of her life, Jeff Metters. Together with Jeff's two daughters, Jessica and Megan, they created a beautiful, blended family of which she was endlessly proud.
Soulmates in every sense of the word, Connie and Jeff, enjoyed every minute of their life as a couple. Whether strolling the beaches of the Florida Keys or watching the latest Hallmark movie, if they were together, she was happy.
In search of warmer winters, Connie and Jeff headed south in 2022 and have called Bella Vista, AR home ever since.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and her sisters, Theresa Cerutti and Mary Rikli.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband Jeff; her loving daughters, Lydia Genner (Matt Müller), Jessica Metters (Justin), and Megan Metters; her grandchildren, Hailey Archer (John), Nicholas Stanley, Kayleen, Christopher, and Garbiel Mota; her great-granddaughter, Leia; her brothers, Natale (Pat) Cerutti, Bill (Linda) Cerutti, and Michael (Jane) Cerutti; her sisters, Toni (Kim) Tredinnick and Jeanette "Cookie" Kress (Doug Reis); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was loved greatly and will be immeasurably missed.
