Cynthia "Cindy" Margaret Kara, 76, of Gravette, Arkansas, passed away on January 6, 2024, after fighting cancer for several months.  She was born on May 14, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents, Erwin and Blanche Kracmer.  She graduated Riveride-Brookfield High School and continued to live in Brookfield, Illinois.

Early in life, Cindy met Jerry Kara and they married on August 24, 1968. Cindy and Jerry went on to have two children, Bonnie and Jerry.  After spending the first 12 years of their marriage in Illinois, they found their forever home in Gravette in 1980.  Cindy loved nature, so once she found a home with a live creek, caves, abundant wildlife, and cows. She wasn't going anywhere else.  Jerry traveled in his work while Cindy worked part time at the Gravette Hospital and later as a Pharmacy Technician for Walmart.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Cindy's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.  May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and warmth she brought into this world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Blanche Kracmer

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Bonnie Kara of Gravette, AR; her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carla Kara of Gravette, AR; two grandchildren, Lauren Kara and Hailey Kara; her sisters, Anita Carlson of Savannah, GA and Lorraine Timmerman of Wickes, AR.

A celebration of Cindy's life will take place on a future date and her ashes will be placed in the family cemetery, beside her father's ashes, near her home in Gravette.
