Obituary

David Wayne Edmondson, 56, of Gravette, Arkansas, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Born on September 30, 1969, in Gravette, David lived a life centered around faith, family, friendship, and the outdoors.

David was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and attended Decatur Sale Barn Church for more than 10 years. He dedicated his life to loving the Lord, his family, and his friends, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sports.

After his diagnosis, David made the decision to spend whatever time he had left surrounded by his family and his many friends. He spent the final weeks of his life doing exactly that, surrounded by love, visits, prayers, laughter, and support from the people who meant the most to him.

He was the kind of man who never knew a stranger. David had a gift for making people laugh, feel welcome, and feel valued. More than anything, David wanted people to know the peace and faith he found in Jesus Christ.

In David's own words: "I ask you to accept the Lord Jesus into your lives, or at least look into it. It has been the best decision I have ever made. Glory to the Father for the peace in my life. It's not goodbye, but till we meet again. I love you all and will miss each of you. As for me, I'll be in Heaven."

He was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Kendra and Kandace Edmondson; his grandmother, Toye Reynolds; his father, Dean Edmondson; his stepmother, Sharon Edmondson; and his stepfather, Percy Sellers.

David is survived by his wife, Carolyn Edmondson; his mother, Doris Sellers; his children, DJ Edmondson, Kayla Carlton and husband, Colton Carlton; Johnna Edmondson; and his much-loved grandchildren, Corben, Kenlyn, and Kember Carlton, and Brooklynn Edmondson; his siblings, James Smith and wife, Regina of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Lorie Taylor of Springdale, Arkansas, Teresa Towler of Springdale, Arkansas, Michelle Paul of Graceville, Florida; his stepmother, Mary Orr-Edmondson of Gravette, Arkansas; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation services will be held at Decatur Sale Barn Church, 8944 AR-59, Decatur, AR 72722 on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Terry Horton. Burial will be private.

David leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and love that will continue through the many lives he touched.
