Denise Ann (Young) Oakes, 61, lost her eight year battle with cancer on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Denise was born in Elkhart, Indiana to Michele Manley and John M. Young.

She lived most of her life in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona area and was accomplished at the piano, organ and had a beautiful singing voice. Denise was a long time member of the Arizona Tournament Dart Association. In 2010, she moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas to be with her mother, Michele, and her stepfather, Don Clark, who were married in 1969.

Denise joined her brother, Jack Young; grandparents, Blake and Lulamae Manley; grandparents, Merl and Ruth Young; and aunt, Nancy Thompson in heaven.

She is survived by her mother, Michele Clark; stepfather, Don Clark; uncle, Richard Manley and aunt, Laura Manley of Bella Vista; uncle, Travis Burleson and aunt, Linda Burelson of Elkhart, Indiana; sister-in-law, Theresa Young of South Dakota; cousin, Jody Burleson of Cincinnati, Arkansas; nine other cousins in Tucson, Arizona, Elkhart, Indiana, Little Rock, Arkansas, Bella Vista, Arkansas and Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by aunts, Jane Craig, Shirley Sanderson, Barbara Jordan of Virginia, Fran Hutchison of Utah, and Pat Clark of Arizona.

A Celebration of Life service and location will be announced at a later date. A private internment will be at the Bella Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
