Dianne L. Allen, 80, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away January 15, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.

Dianne was born in Joliet, Illinois.  She was a graduate of Joliet Township HS class of 1962.  She received a degree in Chemistry from the College (now University) of St. Francis in 1966.  She worked as a training supervisor for Uniroyal but spent most of her working life at Commonwealth Edison as a technical engineer and laboratory supervisor.

She married Bruce Allen in 1976, and they resided in Shorewood, Illinois until retiring to Bella Vista in 2004.

Dianne and Bruce were exceedingly involved in church and community volunteer activities.  Dianne held various leadership roles in the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista as an Elder, Liturgist, and Treasurer of the Presbyterian Women.  She was a past member of the Chancel Choir, assisted with Communion, and participated in many committees including Sessions, Missions, and Outreach.

Dianne was a Meals on Wheels coordinator for 7 years and President for a year.

She volunteered her time with AARP preparing taxes for Benton County seniors for 9 years.

She golfed and swam laps regularly for many years.

Dianne and Bruce travelled the country in their RV and enjoyed time in Door County every summer for 30 years.

She played Samba weekly with a strong circle of friends right up to her passing.

Dianne was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Purtell, in 1974; her parents, Lawrence and Edith Rastello; her sister, Nancy Marcille; and most recently her husband of 48 years, Bruce, who passed away August 11, 2024.

Dianne is survived by a niece, Celeste (Pat)Engstrom of Wichita KS, and a nephew, Jon (Cindy) Marcille, of Peoria, Il.

No services were held per Dianne's wishes.
