Dianne Kay (Wilson) Krolikowski, 85, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away on November 29, 2021. She was born November 11, 1936, to Joseph and Irma Wilson (Prenger) in Grand Island, Nebraska.

She attended grade school and high school at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island, graduating in 1954.  Dianne was born with an assertive disposition and understood at an early age that she wanted to become a nurse.  She attended and obtained her pre-nursing degree from Duchesne College in Omaha, Nebraska.  She completed her nursing degree at St. Francis School of nursing in Grand Island and later went on to obtain her Bachelor of Nursing degree from St. Francis college in Joliet, Illinois.

Dianne married her husband Ronald Krolikowski in 1958 and moved to Columbus, Nebraska to become the Director of Nursing at Saint Mary's hospital. She later transitioned to nursing education and became an instructor in the LPN nursing program at Platte College in Columbus.

In 1971 Dianne and Ron moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she became the Emergency Department Director of Nursing at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center and served in that capacity for twenty years.  In 1991, she ascended into nursing management to the position of Director of Ambulatory Services at St. Elizabeth, charged with the responsibility of identifying and developing needed ambulatory services for the community, as health care transitioned from inpatient to the outpatient setting.  Under her direction, she led the development of Lincoln's first dedicated outpatient surgery service, its first hospital affiliated home health program and a free standing occupational health program that integrated medical, nursing, physical and occupational therapy services designed to help community companies assess employees' physical abilities and sustain their continued healthy employment.

In 1996, she retired from St. Elizabeth and she and Ron moved Bella Vista, Arkansas where she took a brief break from nursing, but missed caring for others.  She began working at the former St. Mary's hospital on a seasonal basis administering flu shots.  She also worked as a Parish Nurse for the Community Church, instructing and counseling prostate cancer patients.

Dianne considered her Catholic faith her strongest asset in helping the sick and especially the elderly. Dianne was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic church in Bella Vista.

Dianne was a member of the St. Bernard's adoration ministry, Women's Club, Crafters, and various dinner clubs and card groups.  She was a past president of Questers Trail of Tears 904. She was a Longaberger Basket consultant for 20 years.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Irma (Prenger) Wilson; brother Roger of Grand Island, Nebraska, and her beloved dog Wheezie.

Dianne is survived by her husband Ronald of Bella Vista; a daughter Kim of Redwood City, California; and two granddaughters, Maggie Rose of Sacramento and Molly Marie of Redwood City; brother Joseph Wilson (Sharon) of Bella Vista; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are set for December 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Saint Bernard's Church in Bella Vista.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  Donations may be made in her name to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.  P.O. Box 5248, Bella Vista, AR. 72714.
