Obituary

In loving memory of Dollie Geraldine Armstrong, born on February 4, 1930, in Fargo, North Dakota, and departed from this world on December 9, 2023, in Bella Vista, AR. Dollie was the beloved wife of William Howard Armstrong for over 76 years, and together they shared a life filled with love and companionship.

A woman of immense passion, Dollie dedicated herself to her family, her church, and a multitude of friends. Her creative spirit shone through various artistic pursuits, including sewing, needlepoint, cake decorating, ceramics, and painting. Dollie's kitchen was a hub of culinary delights, where her skill as an excellent cook brought joy to those fortunate enough to taste her creations.

At the tender age of 5, Dollie won a Shirley Temple look-alike contest, a moment that foreshadowed a future on the radio in her hometown of Fargo. She shared the stage with the famous singer, Peggy Lee, showcasing her talent and leaving an indelible mark on her community.

Dollie Geraldine Armstrong will be remembered not only for her remarkable achievements but also for the love, warmth, and creativity she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. As we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure through generations.

She is reunited in Heaven with her son, Mark Armstrong and her parents, James and Helen McKinnon. May she rest in eternal peace.

Dollie is survived by her devoted children, Claudia Tally, Denise Collins, and Dave Armstrong and her loving sisters, Joan Winslow and Joyce Pillera. Dollie's legacy extends through her cherished grandchildren, Steven Tally, Susan Horn, Tiffany Wilcox, Troy Armstrong, and Kandis Smith. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jessica Tally, Easton Tally, Brendon Tally, Sarah Horn, Ellen Horn, Anna Horn, Jackson Wilcox, Camden Wilcox, and Klaire Smith.
