"To the world you were one person, but to us you were the world".

And the world became a little less bright on December 27, 2025, when Dolly Dryer passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family she spent her life nurturing.

Dolly was a woman who lived with her heart wide open. To her husband, Dennis, she was a steady partner and his greatest joy. To her children, Melony, Mike & Mindi, she was a source of unconditional warmth and adventure. She loved to laugh and share her joy.

She had a rare and infectious energy that touched so many lives.  She actively enjoyed traveling around the world and had a passion for Alaskan adventures as she spent her time before retirement in many Alaskan towns and villages working as a nurse. She was always giving back to people in the most selfless ways.

Originally from McGregor Iowa, she retired in Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2012 where she enjoyed golf, swimming and spending time at the dog park with her rescue dog, Buddy.

Beyond her fun-loving nature was a deep and heartfelt kindness. Dolly was the person people called when they needed to be heard. She had a gift for making everyone feel like the most important person in the room. Whether through her legendary Sunday dinners, playing with her grandkids or adventurous travel lifestyle, she poured love into everything she touched.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Ann DeLong and beloved son, Michael. We take comfort in knowing they have been united again and that she is watching over us with the same care she showed throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Dryer; her children, Melony Hansen & Mindi Dryer; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a community of friends who were lucky enough to call her "family."
