Douglas (Doug) Wayne Wise, 71, of Gravette, AR passed away in his home on June 9, 2024, from a heart attack.

Doug was raised mostly in the Gravette/Decatur area and attended school in Gravette, being a part of the class of 1971. He served in the Navy, where he obtained his GED and was trained as an industrial electrician. Doug lived and worked briefly in Texas, Florida, and Kansas, but spent most of his life in Northwest Arkansas. He loved to tinker with vehicles and spent many hours fixing and polishing them. He also enjoyed animals, especially his cat.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Wise of Florida and his mother, Erlene Philpott of Decatur, AR.

He is survived by his brother and best friend, Bradley Wise of Centerton, AR; brother, Phillip Philpott of Conway, AR; sister, Tammy Johnston of Springdale, AR; two children; five granddaughters; one nephew; and three nieces.

Currently no memorial service is planned.
