Edward Hugh Bergen was born December 16, 1946, in Billings, Montana. He entered rest peacefully at the age of 74 on November 4, 2021.

Ed proudly served in the Marines and worked at Allied Signal in California before moving into this area in 1994. The one thing he loved about this area was the fishing- he did a lot of fishing! He also enjoyed woodcraft, sports, and playing games. He would play scrabble or cribbage for hours!

Ed and Rebecca (Webster) were married in 1994 in Noel, Missouri, and she survives the home. In addition to Rebecca, he is survived by his brother Andrew (Cara) Bergen of Las Vegas, Nevada; three stepchildren, Charles (Stacey) Thacker, Jr. of Noel, James (Heather) Thacker of Southwest City, Jennifer (Kevin) Hutchison of Forsythe; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents Edna Kay Jones and Andrew Bergen.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at twelve o'clock at New Life Church (427 New Life Lane, Anderson, MO). The family welcomes donations to New Life Church youth/student ministries as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
