Obituary

Elsie "Fae" Miskimen of Bella Vista, Arkansas fell asleep in Jesus on June 27th 2023 at the age of 96. She was born July 20th 1926 in Ringling, Oklahoma to George Bateman and Pansy Marie (Howard) Bateman. She never liked the name Elsie and always preferred to be called Fae.

Fae was a long time member of the Lutheran faith and served in a variety of ministries in the St. John's Lutheran Church of Monett and Bella Vista Lutheran Church. She graduated from high school at Cave City, AR in May 1944 and later attended Sacramento Junior College.

Earlier in her life she had been employed by the FBI in Washington D.C.; Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in Sacramento, CA; Jumping Jacks Shoe Co and Gliedt Electric Supply both in Monett, MO.

Fae was a very social person who loved good humor, singing, and playing cards. She was a member of multiple church choirs and a German Folk group named Die Spieler based in Freistatt Missouri. She also impersonated Minnie Pearl of the Grand Ole Opry fame for over 35 years and always had a smile for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Mildred Revell, and husbands LTJG Donald Fantozzi, Albert Gliedt, and Rev. Robert Miskimen. She is survived by one brother Van (Carol) Bateman of Bella Vista, one daughter Donna Fantozzi of St. Louis, MO, two sons Roger (Dianne) Gliedt of Springdale, AR, Eric (Angela) Gliedt of Bentonville, AR, and foster son, Matthew (Lori) Jungklaus of Lawrenceville, GA along with seven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.

In addition she was blessed by the addition of Robert's children: Victoria (Charles) Maaske, Carolyn (Dennis) Sayles, Grace Miskimen, Robert (Adonna) Miskimen, Christine (Weldon) Kunzeman, Eunice (James) Harris, Karen Miskimen, Carl (Jamie) Miskimen, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Highlands of Bella Vista Health & Rehab and Circle of Life Hospice caregivers for their loving care of Fae in the last year of her life.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bella Vista Lutheran Church at 11AM on Saturday July 22nd 2023. She will be laid to rest next to her second husband Albert Gliedt at McCormick-St. John Cemetery in Monett, MO on a date to be determined.
