Elva Darline
Hamilton
May 5, 1959 — Jun 22, 2026
Noel
Elva Darline Hamilton, lovingly known as Darline, passed peacefully into eternal life on June 22, 2026, at Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas, with her youngest daughter, Jennifer, by her side. She was born on May 5, 1959, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Julia Maxine McCool and Sherman Beecher McCool.
Darline never met a challenge she was afraid to take on and was always eager to learn something new. Throughout her life, she wore many hats, including cosmetologist, school bus driver, construction worker, café owner, kitchen manager, security guard, bartender, talented seamstress, self-taught herbalist, and self-proclaimed karaoke queen. She enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, finding treasures through TikTok shopping, and was always ready for her next adventure.
Music was the soundtrack of her life. She loved the classic hits of the '70s, '80s, and '90s, especially country music, enjoyed watching old Westerns, and could almost always be found with a cold soda pop in her hand. She loved singing along to her favorite songs, laughing with family, and making memories with the people she loved.
She was known for her kind heart, unwavering support, and genuine compassion. Darline was the friend everyone could count on, a wonderful listener, and someone who always offered encouragement when it was needed most. She had a way of making everyone around her feel welcome, valued, and loved.
Above all else, Darline loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world and the love she gave them will remain her greatest legacy.
Darline accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her pain has ended, and her eternal life has just begun. While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing she is whole again in the presence of her Savior.
She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Maxine McCool and Sherman Beecher McCool; her brother, Kenny McCool; and her husband, Robert Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Arnold and her husband, Travis, and Billie Jo Swank and her husband, Frank; her grandchildren, Kayla and her husband, Colton, Wyatt Swank, Dillon Swank, and Dalton Swank; her great-grandchildren, Harper Swank, Corben Carlton, Kenlyn Carlton, and Kember Carlton; and the fifth great-granddaughter she was joyfully anticipating this fall.
In accordance with Darline's wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest at the home of Jennifer and Travis Arnold in a beautiful flower garden lovingly created by her oldest daughter, Billie Jo.
A 'drop-in' memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 15044 Fielding Rd, Gravette, AR 72736.
