Ernest Edward Marlow, born November 23, 1924, passed on May 24,2023. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California.
He served in the US Coast Guard WWII and played professional baseball for the NY Yankees organization. He married Joyce Whinery in 1947 in Twin Falls, Idaho and they had 2 daughters, Jerri and Nancy.
Erni served as a police officer for 20 years and helped establish the first police juvenile division in Idaho. He was the Lieutenant in charge of juvenile probation, placement, and court liaison in Twin Falls. He continued his education and graduated in 1975 with a Master of Science.
He moved to Spokane, Washington to teach at the Spokane Community College starting with the police academy. He became Dean of Instruction of the trade programs which included police training, culinary, cosmetology, horticulture, natural science, and agriculture. He married Ella Euteneier in August 1973 and welcomed her daughters, Vicki and Lynda into his family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 1:30 at Innisfree Living, 300 Innisfree Circle, Rogers Arkansas. Military honors and inurnment will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital , 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
