Frances Norma Bridges (nee Ables), 96, of Gravette, Arkansas passed away on May 17, 2026, at Innisfree Health and Rehab in Rogers, Arkansas.

Frances was born June 20, 1929, in Attala County Mississippi, to Morris and Myrtle Ables, a sharecropper in western Mississippi. For most of her life, she attended the United Methodist Church.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, one stepbrother, two husbands, and a grandson.

She is survived by her three children: Alfred Blair and Julie Diaz of Gravette and Laura Blair of Kansas City, Kansas. She is also survived by a grandson Alfred Blair Ill of West Virginia, and two great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Riley.

A joint memorial service for Frances N. Bridges and her daughter, Julie Diaz, who passed away on May 27, 2026, will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 201 Akron Street NE, Gravette, AR 72736.
