Frances S. Thomson, 92, of Bella Vista, AR died September 23, 2026.

She was born and lived in Nashville, TN until her marriage to Marvin H. Thomson in 1953. They lived in several states before settling in Bella Vista, AR. Frances was a graduate of U. of Louisiana, Monroe and served as Media Specialist in the Ouachita Parish School System until retiring.

Frances was a faithful Christian and loved her Lord. She attended and especially enjoyed the Bella Vista Church of Christ and was active in church work. She was past regent of the Lovely Purchase Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed working in genealogy, gardening and sewing. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Peacemaker's Quilters.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin H. Thomson and her parents, Miley and Mary Nancy South.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Thomson; son, Brad Thomson and wife, Janice of Bella Vista, AR; granddaughter, Sarah McBeth and husband, Cedrick; and great grandchildren, Chloe and Lukas, of Prosper, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at the Goodsprings Cemetery at Pleasant View, Tenn at a later date.
