Gary Sloan, 79, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away January 31, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born August 20, 1945, in Pawnee, OK to the late John and Minnie Sloan of Perry, OK.

He went to the University of Oklahoma for a year and then joined the U.S. Coast Guard from 1965 to 1969. On April 28, 1967, he married Rosalyn Voigt in Galveston, Texas. He worked with computers, and was a systems analyst in Houston, TX until they retired to Bella Vista in 2012. He loved woodworking, kayaking, painting, fishing, and traveling.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John and wife, Peggy of Evansville, Indiana; his brothers-in-law, Arlie Skov of Santa Barbara, California and Louis Voigt of Yorktown, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosalyn; sister, Luella Skov of Santa Barbara, California; in-laws, Mary and Dean Baker of Pearland, TX, Evelyn DeSoto of Clear Lake, TX, Angela Paschal of Kemah, TX, Jean Ellen and Danny Levin of Friendswood, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private graveside will be held at Pleasant Valley (Sumner) Cemetery in Oklahoma at a later date.
