Gaylord "Gene" Maaske , 86 years old, was born in Harrison County, Iowa on March 28, 1938. Gene went to live with the Lord on August 3, 2022.

Gene's interests included gardening and he later became a Master Gardener. He also loved music, singing, fishing, and flying remote control planes. He was an active member at Highlands United Methodist Church and a choir member for over 20 years. He served in the Marines in the Korean War and the American Legion Honor Guard.

Gene had five children: Greg Maaske, Marlo Livengood, Julie Howe, Susan Stazzoni, and Michelle Rodenbach. He had 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Highlands United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, AR 72715. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Highlands United Methodist Church choir.
