George Ann Billingsley (nee Greenlee), 85, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 28th at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.

George Ann ("Gi") was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on October 16, 1940, to George and Mavis Greenlee.

George Ann graduated from El Dorado High School in 1958 and Henderson State University in 1962. After graduation, George Ann taught elementary school in Houston Texas. In 1963 she married Bobby Carl Billingsley. Soon after, she stepped away from her teaching career to dedicate herself to her role as a wife and mother, which she embraced with her whole heart. When Bobby's career brought the family to Duluth, Minnesota, George Ann embraced the move to the North, making many friends and managing the Lester Park Golf Course clubhouse. After 20 years in Duluth, George Ann and Bobby moved back to Arkansas, ultimately settling in Bella Vista Arkansas.

Family was always a priority for George Ann. She was proud to raise her two sons, Bryan and Shannon, and to share a devoted marriage with Bobby. She was the best Mamaw to her cherished grandchildren John, Rachel, and Kathleen with whom she regularly visited in Minnesota and traveled with over the years. She shared a strong and special bond with her sister Judy Ordemann.  She made many lifelong friends in both Duluth and Bella Vista.

George Ann had a zest for life and was always active. She was a runner (ascending Pike's Peak during one race), a biker, and an avid quilter. George Ann was involved in many community groups, most recently her prayer group. She will be remembered for her kind, loving and charismatic personality. She will be deeply missed.

George Ann was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mavis Greenlee, her loving husband of 60 years, Bobby Carl Billingsley, her nephews, Jason and Scott Moore.

She is survived by her children Bryan and wife, Becky, and Shannon; grandchildren John, Rachel, and Kathleen Billingsley, sister Judy Ordemann, and husband Tom; sisters-in-law Stelle Lacefield and Norma Norris and husband, James; nieces & nephews and her best friend, Jill Newby.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.
