Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of George Lowe announces his passing on June 12, 2024. He was born to Olga and Lee Lowe on November 13, 1936, in Luverne, MN.

Throughout his working life he had various means of livelihood with Sears, National Lumber Company, NAPA Auto Parts and All Care Pharmacy. In 1957 he began a 61 year marriage to his high school sweetheart, Helen, until her passing in 2019. They started their family in 1960 on a farm in Garrettson, SD and then moved to Brandon, SD in 1968. In 1989 they moved to Bella Vista, AR. After moving to Arkansas, he worked for All Care Pharmacy delivering medication to nursing homes. Part of his passion was his active prison ministry. The family joke was "Dad you're always running drugs or in jail".

After his retirement he focused mainly on serving in church as a Deacon, Elder, Board President and singing in the choir. He also enjoyed golfing, walking by the lake and napping. His last residence was at Jamestown Nursing home in Rogers, AR, where he continued his ministry by leading a bible study, welcoming new residents and handing candy out to all of the nurses. The Lowe family is very grateful for the team at Jamestown for taking such good care of him. He truly loved his life there and everyone on staff. His greatest passion was loving and encouraging people whether they were a stranger or a friend. George never failed to bloom where he was planted.

Blessed to be survived by George is his daughter, Connie and husband, Mark Baker of Rogers, AR; son, Bryan of Bella Vista, AR; son, Bruce and wife, Janelle of Centerton AR; his grandchildren, Crystal and fiancé, Zack, Blake and fiancée, Allie, Kyle, and Brandy; great grandchildren, Brett and Kalaina; and sister, Marlys Knudsen.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 351 W Centerton Blvd., Centerton, AR 72719.
