George S. Stanley, III passed peacefully from this earth on Friday, September 30, 2022, at his home in Bella Vista, Arkansas surrounded by family.

George was born July 28, 1939, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He earned an architecture degree from Louisiana State University, where he graduated with honors. George attained the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Navy, where he served with distinction on multiple deployments overseas during the Vietnam War. He founded a successful architectural firm in suburban New Orleans and was a skilled artist and tennis player in his free time. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Bachman Stanley; three children, Lauren, Erin, and Michael; and six grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Abigail, Nicholas, Roman, and Gabrielle.

A celebration of George's life was held at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas on October 3, 2022.
