Glenn Arnold
Wickboldt
Oct 27, 1935 — Sep 22, 2023
Bella Vista
Glenn Arnold Wickboldt, age 87 of Bella Vista, AR passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born on October 27, 1935, in Oakland, California. He was the youngest of two sons born to Arthur Henry Charles and Louise Anna (Kohnke) Wickboldt.
He spent his early years growing up in Oakland, CA and graduated from Oakland High School. He volunteered for the draft and joined the Army, proudly serving as part of the German occupation forces in Germany from 1954-56. Returning home, he worked for the Chevrolet Parts division. A fellow employee set him up on a blind date and he met the love of his life, Diana. They were married a year later. Glenn and Diana spent the next 65 and a half years together, raised 3 children and had many adventures. In his professional career, he worked for computer companies, was a farmer, and worked for America's Favorite Roadside Attraction. He and Diana travelled to China, Europe, Alaska, and Mexico.
Glenn discovered the secret to life: having Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He served the Lord in many capacities at every church he attended.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Wickboldt, brother, Art Wickboldt, and sister in law, Alice Wickboldt.
To cherish Glenn's memory, he leaves behind his wife, Diana; son, Karl (Lisa) Wickboldt; daughter, Lu Ann (Curtis) Garland; son, Kurt Wickboldt; grandchildren, Cara (Oscar) Paredes, Rebecca (Casey) Bynum, Chloe Garcia, Royce (Danielle) Garland, Kevin (Kristi) Garland, and Analise Garland; and 11 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.
