Herman Dean Gottfried, 84, of Noel, MO, passed away on December 16, 2024. He was born on July 17, 1940, to Rudolph Gottfried and Della (Fuller) Gottfried in Pleasant Plains, AR.

Dean married Alice (Bontke) Gottfried on June 8, 1973, in Hot Springs, AR.

Dean worked at the Wal-Mart warehouse for many years and retired but was always doing odd jobs. He loved to work on things. Dean was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Pea Ridge, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles and Amos (Mike) Gottfried; sisters, Reba Gottfried, Kay Real, and Dorothy Gottfried; and granddaughter, Sara Gottfried.

Dean is survived by his wife, Alice (Bontke) Gottfried of Noel, MO; sons, Bruce (Donna) Gottfried of GA, Tony Gottfried of GA, Rudy (Karrie) Gottfried of AR, and Jon Gottfried of AR; daughter, Teresa Sanderson of MO; brother, Roy (Pat) Gottfried of Arkansas; sisters, Jane Stites of AR and Martha Cupp of MO; 18 grandchildren; and a lots of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 15315 AR-94, Pea Ridge, AR 72751. Inurnment will be held at a later date for family.
