He was a 1949 graduate from Caney Valley High School.  It was in the fall of 1949 while attending Coffeyville Jr. Collage that he noticed a cute red head, who was in her first year of teaching at Caney.  The two were married March 23, 1951 and were together and still very much in love until Katie's passing in 2019.

He was a graduate of Pittsburg State University and obtained his master's degree from Texas A&M. Jack joined the Air Force in 1953 and was stationed in Mississippi, Alaska, Texas, Germany, South Korea and Oklahoma.  He retired from the Air Force in 1974 at which time he and his family moved back to Caney.  While living in Caney he worked for Graves Funeral Home and Phillips 66. In 1979 Jack, his wife Katie and their daughter moved to Bella Vista where they lived the remainder of their lives. Before his retirement he worked for Cooper Communities, Inc. He was an active member of Bella Vista Assembly of God and worked with the Gideon's.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 69 years, his parents, a sister and a daughter.

He is survived by his son Kenneth and his wife Christan of Eureka Springs, daughter Lisa and her husband David of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family, as well as his friends and church family.  He is finally home celebrating being in the presence of the lord and being reunited with his lovely bride.
