Jack Ronald Cox, Sr., 92, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on February 24, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John Luker Cox Sr. and Enda Francis Myers.

Jack attended Waco High School in Waco, Texas, he then graduated from Baylor College with his associated degree and moved on to graduate from Texas University with his Bachelor of Civil Engineering. After graduating, Jack joined the U.S. Air Force in January of 1958, where he was stationed in France until his honorable discharge in December of 1960.

In 1967, he went back to school and graduated with his Master of Civil Engineering from University of Houston.

In 1973, Jack purchased the family ranch in Normangee, Texas, which he maintained for more than three decades. He worked for Shell Oil Company for 35 years, in his last ten years with Shell, he was transferred to Ohio to become the President of the R & F Coal Company. During his many years at Shell, he received numerous awards and recognitions including, "Coal Man of the Year" in Ohio.

After retiring in 1991, Jack moved to the community of Bella Vista, Arkansas where he married Lazette (Burnum) Cox in July of 1992. He enjoyed his retirement by travelling around the world and through the United States with his wife Lazette and playing golf in the many golf courses in Bella Vista.

Jack was preceded by his parents, and one sister, Francis Helen Cox.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Lazette Cox of 34 years; one son, Dr. Jack Ronald Cox Jr.; three bonus children, Jody McFearin, Tammy Jones and Randy Terrill; one sister, Judy Kirby; six grandchildren, Dr. Melanie (Brian) Belcik, Brandon (Amanda) Cooper, Dr. Matt (Liz) Cooper, Ashley (Caleb) Guillory, Allyson Grafton and Ericka (Matt) Powell; and ten much loved great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered as the amazingly kind, sweet and genuine man he was and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
