Jaqueline "Jackie" Boling, 74, was born on October 26th, 1951, in Chetopa, Kansas, and went to her heavenly home November 16th, 2025, where she was welcomed into the open arms of Jesus.

Known affectionately as Mom, Grandma Jackie, Gma, and Aunt Smackie, Jackie was a force for this life like no other on this earth. She loved fiercely, fully, and unconditionally, with every fiber of her being, and demanded nothing in return.

Jackie was born to parents Ethel Maxine and Charles Edward Doherty of Chetopa, Kansas in 1951, the fourth of five children. After graduating high school, where she was captain of the cheer team and crowned the homecoming queen, Jackie left her small Kansas town and pursued her education in cosmetology in Kansas City where she met and married the father of her children, Robert Rentschler, and gave birth to their children Bridget Suzann in 1970, Heather Jean in 1974, and Robert Emery in 1982. Always industrious, Jackie worked vigorously in careers in cosmetology and at McDonald's and Walmart, all while maintaining a bustling household. She sewed costumes and clothing, made lunches and tediously crafted deliciously sought-after rolls, left tools in her closet for when she repaired fixtures in the home, whistled late at night (and heard miles away) when it was time for dinner, and placed compresses on burning foreheads and thermometers under tongues. She coached basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball teams, and attended and heartily (albeit notoriously) cheered at hundreds of games, much to the chagrin of local umpires and referees. Through her work at Walmart, she met her husband, Robert Boling, and the two married in 2000. She ultimately retired from Walmart after eighteen years with the company. Never one to slow down, she cultivated and maintained a health foods business with her brother and husband and spent copious time with and raising her grandchildren.

Those who knew Jackie knew best that perhaps the truest, most precious valuables in her life were not heirlooms of gold and gems, but each of her grandchildren. Jackie's love for her grandchildren far surpassed all else. Few could rival the encompassing depth with which she adored them. Each child was a new gift from God that brought her unparalleled joy. In Blake, she witnessed her daughter transform into a mother and discover the heart-bursting wonder of grandmotherhood. In Cade, she found that, indeed, one's heart could somehow both be split and doubled in its capacity to love. In Anna, she delighted in the new and familiar joys of a little girl and marveled as her daughters were reborn in this little pink bundle. With Payton, she experienced her baby becoming a father, and what it meant to be the whole world to one little boy. With Emery and Everly, she learned that at 67, one was fully capable of running around and parenting twin toddler terrors with all the energy of a 25-year-old, and that two little girls were somehow infinitely as fulfilling as one.

As we enter a season of gratitude, while we find ourselves devastated by her loss, it is through her absence that we are even more thankful for her brilliant presence in our lives. 1 Thessalonians 3:9 illustrates it best when it asks, "How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy that we feel before our God because of you?" With the faith of a giant, Jackie left a legacy of unabashed, unapologetic devotion. She prayed over, invested in, and spoke life in the lives of all of those around her, and for that, we are forever grateful.

Jackie may have left us behind, but it is important to recognize that she, too, was the one left behind. So, while we love her and hurt deeply to see her go, we know she was reunited Glory-side with her sisters, Smoochie and Bea, her brothers, Jeep and Rog, and her sweet, stubborn Momma.

Mom, Gma, Jackie, we will miss you and will never be able to thank God enough for you in return for the joy you gave so freely.

Local referees and umpires, you can officially rest easy, as Gma Jackie has retired her seat in the bleachers.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Maxine Doherty and her father, Charles Edward Doherty; her sisters, Jeannie Wilson and Bridget Joy Sprague; and her brothers, Clarence "Jeep" Doherty and Roger Doherty.

She is survived and dearly missed by her husband of twenty-five years, Robert Boling; her daughters, Bridget Lastovica (Tommy) and Heather Rentschler; her son, Bobby Rentschler (Briana); along with six grandchildren, Blake Lastovica, Cade Lastovica, Anna Grace Lastovica, Payton Rentschler, Emery Rentschler, and Everly Rentschler.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with graveside service and burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hiwasse, AR.
