It is with great sadness that the family of James "Jim" DeWitt Kirkland announce his sudden passing on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 68.

Jim was an avid horseman, cowboy, packer, colt starter, and a skilled farrier. He rode horses nearly every day.

Jim was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Animal Science. Over the years, Jim worked as a Wildlife Researcher, an investigator for the Arizona Corporation Commission, and in pipeline installation and safety

After retirement, Jim built a large workshop where he invented numerous useful apparatuses he would call 'Making a Deal".

Jim was always there for his family, friends, and neighbors, for whatever they might need. Thank you Jim.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theo Kirkland and brother, Bryan Kirkland.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Robyn Kirkland; children, Ty (Savannah) Kirkland and Addie Rose (Blake) Davis; grandchildren, Shyloh, Wyatt, and Harrison; mother, Wilma Kirkland; sister, Vicki (Jeff) Marts; sister-in-law, Lynn Kirkland; nieces, Tess (Joey) Hessin and Samantha Kirkland; and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.
