Jay Owen Elam of Bella Vista, Arkansas gained his wings on July 16, 2021. He was born September 18, 1952 in Hutchinson, Kansas to John C. Elam, Sr. and Juanita (Reed) Elam. On February 27, 1971 he married the love of his life, Linda Price. They shared 50 years together.

Jay attended Partridge and Nickerson High Schools and Barber College in Wichita, Kansas. He was a barber, beauty product sales representative and professional shear sharpener. In his youth, he was an excellent baseball pitcher and never passed a change to watch a game the rest of his life. Jay never met a person he didn't like, enjoyed playing the Dulcimer, and loved to share laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John C. Elam Jr.; sisters, Dixie Levene and Wanda Britain of Hutchinson.

Jay is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Nancy Busen (Rudy) of Rogers, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews; his devoted dog Zoe and geriatric cat Bippy.
