Jeanette Horner of Bella Vista, AR passed away peacefully at Circle of Life hospice, Bentonville, AR of cancer on May 31, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on October 20,1934.

Jeanette lived in Castleton, KS and Hutchinson, KS through high school. Graduating from Hutchinson High School in 1952. Jeanette attended one year at Hutchinson Junior College, Hutchinson, KS and one year at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. She also attended Adela Hale Business School, in Hutchinson, KS.

Jeanette met Wayne Horner at the Navy airfield in Hutchinson. They were married six months later in Paradise, CA on May 8, 1955. They lived in Guam and several cities around the country. Retiring in Bella Vista in 1991, she loved bridge, St. Louis Cardinals, traveling, shopping, collecting nick-knacks of all sorts, bowling, and enjoyed golf. She spent the majority of her life as a loving homemaker. She was a member of Bella Vista 1ST United Methodist Church and many bridge groups.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Louise Ewy, and only sister, Pat Stricker.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Horner of the home; adopted sons, Scott Horner (Amy) of Kissimmee, FL, and Mike Horner (Kim) of Mission Viejo, CA; grandchildren, Emily, Jane, Charlie, and Tommy; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Inurnment will be at the Fayetteville, AR VA National Cemetery. A private service will be held at a later date.
