Jeffery Mark Emerson, age 62, of Bella Vista, AR passed away on August 5, 2025, in Rogers, AR. He was born on October 8, 1962, in Forest City, AR. Mark was the salt of the earth.

His work ethic was his best characteristic, followed closely by his dedication to showing up early or on time to all appointments coming in as a close second. Outside of working, you could find him planting flowers and designing a park-like setting on the empty lot next to his mother's house. He manicured his mom's yard, painted decks, repaired electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. She kept him constantly working, leaving little time for much of anything else. His personality and character were fueled by grit and a hardcore work ethic. He acquired his servant aptitude from an early age.

His passions in life included his love for trucking, landscaping/gardening, family, and his faith. Mark was a jack of all trades. He could hang wallpaper like no one's business, paint, repair electrical and HVAC units with ease.

He attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics out of Tulsa, OK with the hopes of becoming a pilot. His bad eyesight nixed that dream, so he focused on obtaining his associate's degree in Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Repair. Mark served in the Army National Guard for 8 years as a light Wheel Power Generation Diesel Mechanic.

He used to share stories of his time in the reserves. He took pride in being facetious, sharing stories describing how he was thrown out of the back of a moving truck for falling asleep while on a mission. He laughed with pride that when he had to run during PT that sometimes he and a friend would take a quick break to light up a joint for a quick hit before returning to the base. He laughed with price at the fact his superiors punished him more times than he could count for his shenanigans.

Children gravitated to Mark. Maybe it was the fact, he was just a big sloppy kid himself, but kids loved him. He usually could be found sporting the same dirty t-shirts and hole ridden socks like most toddlers.

He most definitely wasn't a fashionista. His choice of attire, and unkept look, would have anyone mistakenly assume he was homeless.  He loved those raised eyebrow reactions and smirks. He was comfortable in his own skin…so comfortable, you could usually find him lounging around with knee high socks, a dingy pair of Hanes, while smoking a cigarette.

Mark possessed that same hair trigger attitude as the rest of the Emerson clan, but he was much different.  He was charming when he wanted to be.  Wasn't Romeo, but that rugged charm was evident.  His shirts usually sported a multitude of crumbs or sloppy splatters of grease from a stolen piece of chicken or coconut cake.  It was guaranteed he could make you shake your head and laugh.  His personality was amplified by silly mannerisms, and that cockeyed one raised eyebrow.  His haphazard exterior never overshadowed his country boy charisma and charm.  He stood out in a crowd. He stood solidly on his beliefs, and no one could make him waver from his stance.  That was his legacy.

He loved the classics. Black and white movies, Andy Griffith, and Twilight Zone were his TV happy place. His musical likes were littered with classic country ranging from Hank Williams to Junior Brown then venturing over to classic rock ranging from Tom Petty to ZZ Top. His favorite ZZ Top album being Mescalero, which contained many sick guitar riffs that would make his metal head kiddo proud.

He was preceded in death his father, Wallace and mother, Maxine Emerson.

Mark is survived by his twin sons, Dustin Blake and Dylan Jacob Emerson; daughter, Kayla Ann Richards; brothers, Terri and Kevin Emerson.

If you ever raise a glass of sangria wine rest assured, he's upstairs sipping a glass right along with you. May his journey be that of love and light. His friends and family will carry on his memory by sharing those quirky phrases and characteristics that could only be Mark. God speed until we see you again.
