Jerry "JW" Waggoner, 64, of Rogers, AR passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law. He was born on February 24 in Anaheim, CA to Herschel and Edna (Rusher) Waggoner and was the middle of three brothers (Johnny, Jerry, and Dale).

He worked for Fulton Sanitation, BMW/Volkswagon of NWA, and finally retiring from the City of Rogers Street Department, where he worked from 2008 until 2022.

Jerry graduated from Rogers High School in 1979. That same year and just barely 18 years old, he would meet his forever soulmate, Tina. They dated for a beautiful nine years before they married in July of 1987.

At the age of 30 he became a father to his mini me and eternal sidekick, BreeAnn. The three of them were inseparable. Wherever Jerry and Tina were, there was BreeAnn. He was born to be a dad. He made his little girl is whole world and made sure she always had the best.

He was known for his love of cars and drag racing. If it wasn't about hot rods or NHRA drag racing he didn't care to know about it. Jerry was extremely smart, especially mechanically. He could fix almost anything, and if he couldn't you knew it was going to be expensive. He took excellent care of his vehicles – from detailing and washing to regular maintenance. His pride and joy were his Chevy short wide trucks he would constantly tinker with and make as fast as possible. He never missed a car show, swap meet, or drag race at MoKan or Tulsa Speedway.

He also enjoyed fishing, especially catfish and bass; was a big fan of western shows and movies – John Wayne or Clint Eastwood and he had a permanent crush on Stevie Nicks.

Jerry was an amazing husband, best friend, and dad for 46 years. He took great care of his wife and daughter and loved them with everything he had. He always made sure to make them laugh and that they knew he loved them both dearly. Even when his memory began to fade, he never forgot who Tina and Bree were or how much he loved them both.

His late night, garage singing, Miller High Life drinking, storytelling will become tradition. His life lessons will forever be followed, and he will always be remembered and dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale Waggoner.

He is survived by the love of his life, Tina Waggoner; buddies, Bear and Tizzy; daughter, BreeAnn Martindale; son-in-law and best friend, Trent Martindale; brother, Johnny Waggoner and wife, Kathy; nephew, Jeremy Lastovica; cousins, Nina Rogers and Destinie Rogers; and many cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR 72715. Visitors are encouraged to wear your car/racing t-shirts in his memory.
