John Bruce Kennett, 77, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Rogers, Arkansas. Born on August 28, 1947, in Des Plaines, Illinois, John lived a life marked by creativity, strength, and dedication to both his family and his passions.

John proudly served his country for two years in the United States Army during the late 1960s. Stationed in Germany, he was part of a Pershing Missile Battalion-a role that reflected his commitment and discipline during a pivotal time in global history.

Following his military service, John channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into founding and operating Kennett Signs and Advertising. Based out of Eureka Springs and Berryville, Arkansas, the business became a testament to his artistic talent and work ethic. Through his company, John left a lasting visual imprint on the communities he served.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, John was an avid mountain biker and a competitive weightlifter well into his later years-pursuits that spoke to his enduring vitality and determination. He was also an artist at heart, expressing himself through creative endeavors that complemented both his business and personal life.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Kennett; his parents, Gordon and Jean Kennett; and his brother, Don Kennett.

He is remembered with love by those closest to him: his sons Shawn Kennett; Jeff Kennett and daughter-in-law, Karolyn Henderson; Jason Kennett and daughter-in-law, Erica Kennett. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Braden Kennett, Rhett Kennett, Gracie Kennett, and Khloe Kennett-who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce John Kennett.

John's life was one of action, creativity, and resilience. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as an enduring inspiration to all whose lives he touched.

A Funeral will be held on September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Eureka Springs Cemetery (Hwy 62 E).
