Jon O. Adams, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Circle of Life.
Jon was born on January 24, 1936, in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1954. Because of his draft number coming up, Jon enlisted in the 6-month program with the National Guard while living in Faribault, Minnesota. He served his time in Fr. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Ft. Jackson, South Carolina; and in Minnesota.
In 1959, Jon married Mary Alice Johnson at the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Minnesota. He worked at the State Bank of Faribault for several years before moving to Rochester, Minnesota, where he worked for 36 years at Marquette Bank.
Jon enjoyed attending his girls & grandchildren's activities, and when visiting, he taught his grandchildren how to drive. He also enjoyed doing yard work, especially after he moved to Bella Vista. He took up golf, belonged to several card clubs, and loved traveling – especially the bus tours, both here and in Rochester. Jon was a Shriner clown known as "Merry Medics," and enjoyed walking many parades making animal balloons. He belonged to the Presbyterian Church in Bella Vista, was a Mason, and a Shriner with Osman in St. Paul, Minnesota, Eastern Star in Rochester and Austin, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Myrtle Adams; brother, Robert Adams; brother, Terry Adams; and son-in-law, Bradley Beckman.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Alice Adams; daughters, Lori Beckman of Rochester, Minnesota, and Susan Torres (Milton) of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Alan Adams (Merlin) of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jon Torres, Lily Torres, and Loren Newton (Noah); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Presbyterian Church, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.
