Obituary

Jordan Patrick Smith, 33, of Austin, TX, illuminated the heavens on September 4, 2024. He was born on October 10, 1990, in Arlington, TX to Walter and Cynthia Smith. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Alpharetta, GA, where he graduated from Chattahoochee High School with honors in 2009. He later attended the University of Georgia on a full scholarship and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. After stints at a couple of Dallas-based startup companies, his expertise in 3D printing led to a job at re:3D Inc., where he was a customer support manager.

Jordan was a tinkerer with a passion for anything electronic. He could build a custom computer in days.  He loved video games and had weekly Thursday night competitions with his friends. He acquired carpentry skills, as well as a love for deep-sea fishing, during the cherished time spent with his Uncle Randy. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt with his Papaw, Robert Henry. He had an adventurous spirit and was quick to take on any challenge, whether it be rock climbing, white water rafting or kayaking. He developed a love for soccer at the age of 4 and continued to play in competitive leagues as an adult.

But most of all, Jordan had a true love for his family and friends. He was a spirited soul with a heart full of love.

He is survived by his parents, Walter and Cynthia Smith of Bella Vista AR; his siblings, Candice Prettyman (William) of Farmington, AR, and Spencer Smith of Bella Vista, AR; his grandmother, Mary Henry of Rogers, AR; and many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he adored. Jordan loved and remained close to his childhood friends from the Atlanta area. He always looked forward to the annual trips they made to Florida.
