Joyce June Stutte, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died May 10, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas.   She was born June 13, 1929, in Roff, Oklahoma, the eldest of seven children born to Eddie E. Robertson and Mary Lee Tucker Robertson.

Joyce was a courageous, determined, and independent woman.  After she'd become a young widow in 1959, Joyce returned with her two small daughters to Ada, Oklahoma from Chula Vista, California. She went on to achieve her undergraduate degree in Business Education from East Central College and later her master's from Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg Kansas.

Joyce was a passionate and dedicated educator.  She began her professional teaching career at a small high school in Hume, Missouri, and later moved on to post-secondary business education roles  at Chanute Junior College, Pittsburg State University and Emporia State University in Kansas.  After retiring from teaching in 1979, Joyce moved to Bella Vista Arkansas to become an Administrative Assistant for Walton Enterprises until her retirement in 1994.

Joyce strove for excellence in all aspects of her life.  She was an avid golfer, a lover of nature and all forms of outdoor activities, especially if her grandchildren were involved.  Joyce loved to travel and appreciated the arts and cultural events of the many places she visited.  She was so proud to be called a "rabid" Razorback basketball fan, and closely followed the Hawg games and conference standings.  However, Joyce's greatest passion was her family,  and living up to the heritage, faith, and integrity her parents instilled within her.  One of Joyce's most memorable expressions as she gathered family, friends and grand babies  around her was "LIFE IS GOOD".

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Stutte; brother, Benny Robertson; and two sisters, Mary Jean Anglin McDaniel, and Donna Barker.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Frihart of Bentonville, Arkansas, Deborah (Kurt) Krusekopf of College Station, Texas; one brother, Ed "Pete" Robertson of Buffalo, Missouri; two sisters, Cora Cresswell of Peoria, Arizona, and Lawilda "Billie" Faye Goeckler (Bob) of Porum, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday June 15, 2024, at 10:30 am at Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills, Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
