K. Keith Prueitt, 91, of Bella Vista passed away on October 12, 2021. He was born in Lanesboro, Iowa on February 3, 1930, to Hobart and Cletus (Grimm) Prueitt.

Keith graduated from Glidden Iowa High School.  He attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1960.  He worked for General United Life Insurance Co. as Claim Manager, he was Vice President of Claims for Statesman Group and its affiliate, Vulcan Life Insurance in Birmingham, Alabama and as a home office Claim Supervisor for State Auto and Casualty Insurance Co. in Des Moines. He retired in 1991.

Keith moved with his wife, Lynn, to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1995.  He was an active member of the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men.  He was a Stephen Minister, a member of the Emmaus Community and sang in the church choir. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the 18 Hole Methodist Men's Golf Group and the Bella Vista 18 Hole Men's Golf Association.   He was an official with the Arkansas Association of USA Track & Field. He enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, brother Neil Prueitt, granddaughter Kim Kesselring Beltrame, sister-in-law Fran Prueitt and brother-in-law Mac LaRue.

Keith is survived by his wife Lynn Prueitt; sister Janet LaRue of Ames, Iowa; sons Gary (Diane) Kesselring, Corey (Cynthia) Faller both of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeffrey (Daphne) Lamb of Deerfield, Massachusetts; daughter Amy (Dan) Sanford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeanne Williams and Rev. Brenda Wideman officiating. Graveside services will be in Des Moines, Iowa at a later date.
