Karen Rose Frankenfeld, 88, of Bella Vista, AR, died Sept 9, 2026, in Bentonville, AR. She was born in St. Louis, MO to Ted and Fay (Grace) Peters.

Karen received her BA from Park University in Parkville, MO, and her MA from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, KS. She was a lifelong educator. Professionally, Karen taught for more than 35 years as a vocal music instructor and guidance counselor. Karen and Bob were hosts to countless foreign exchange students over the years, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Those relationships remain to this day. She was the director and member of Perfect Harmony barbershop chorus, and member of Highlands Christian Church and choir, both in Bella Vista. Karen loved making music! After music, her dog Bridget was top fiddle. She occupied the rest of her time playing cards, traveling, catching up with family and spending time with her besties.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bob.

Karen is survived by son, Andy Frankenfeld and wife, Rhonda of St. Paul, MN; daughter, Jenny Weber and husband, Paul of Troy, OH; foster daughter, Julie Kehrli of Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren, Gretchen, Ben (Katie), Dan and Adam; and lastly, her dog, Bridget.

A celebration of life will be held at 11am on November 21, 2026, at Highlands Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR 72715, with a reception immediately following.
