Larry Lee Wilmoth (84), of Gravette, AR passed away on September 6, 2023.
Larry was born at home to Earl and Lillian Wilmoth of Gravette, Arkansas on April 23, 1939. During high school, Larry worked at Peterson's Chicken Plant and upon graduation, Larry joined the United States Army, where he served as a military policeman. After returning home from duty, Larry began working at the post office as a clerk but quickly secured a career at the Bank of Gravette, where he worked for 35 years.
Larry was a faithful follower of Jesus. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gravette. At church, he was the church treasurer and drove the church van. He enjoyed sports of all kinds playing league baseball with other men for sixteen years. After playing baseball, he began playing in a bowling league for several years. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, anything that took him outside into nature. He loved watching the Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lillian Wilmoth, and his sister, Alice DelVecchio of Pleasanton, CA.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn; three children, Scotty and wife Lei, Robin and husband, Tim, and Suzanna and husband, John; his brother, Jim Wilmoth and wife, Deloris of Waldron, AR; sister, Earline and husband, Earl Baker of Oklahoma City, OK; 9 grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Johanna, Evangeline, Tanner, Garrett, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn and Mason; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 305 Main Street SW, Gravette, AR 72736, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, AR.
Arrangements are made by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory where on-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
