Obituary

Lavergne Moline, age 99, passed away December 13, 2025, at Circle of Life, Springdale, Arkansas. She was born Lavergne Joan Parsons on September 10, 1926, to Bertha and Edward Parsons in Chicago, Illinois. A talented painter, she received a scholarship to the Chicago Art Institute and studied there as a young woman.

She married Arthur Conrad Moline on May 5, 1946. Art affectionately referred to her as "Love." They raised four children in Palos Heights, Illinois.

In early retirement, Lavergne and Art built their dream home in Rogers, Arkansas, and provided a special place for their family to gather. Lavergne would bake her famous pies and the family would enjoy trips around the lake and endless games of hand and foot. Eventually the couple retired in Peoria, Arizona.

After Art passed away in 1999, Lavergne returned to the Chicago area and then back to Rogers. The family is grateful for the caring staff at Morada Senior Living and Golden Guardian as well as for Jerry, who cared for Lavergne and knew that she loved sweets.

Lavergne was a dear child of God, baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She raised her children to know Jesus, and that legacy lives on today in their families and their children's families. On December 13, she witnessed the words of one her favorite hymns unfold: "Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me" ("Abide with Me," Henry Francis Lyte).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; son, Keith; daughter, Karen (with husband Glenn Noordhof); granddaughter, Jessica; and brother, Edward (with wife, Lois).

She is survived by sons Kim and Kelly (with wife Barbara) and Keith's wife, Denise; grandchildren, Eric, Melissa, Matthew, Dillon, Nicole, Susan, Kyle, Gabriella, Brittany, Ashley, and Meghan; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.

A memorial service conducted by Rev. Wayne Fischer will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Hiwasse, Arkansas, on January 10 at 3 p.m.
