Lenore L.
Brink
d. Jun 9, 2024
Bella Vista
Lenore L. Brink, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior, with her adoring husband of nearly 70 years, Martin, sitting by her side holding her hand on June 9, 2024.
Born in Henning, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Aurthur and Hazel Peterson and graduated from Henning High School in 1953 and shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart, Martin. After Martin was discharged from the Army, they moved to Silver Bay, MN where Martin worked as a heavy-duty mechanic for Reserve Mining. There, they adopted and raised their children. Lenore was the epitome of an attentive mother, packing lunches and sending her kids off to school and then greeting them at the door upon their return.
One cannot know Lenore without experiencing her faith in God. She and Martin were charter members of Palisade Baptist Church, Silver Bay, MN as well as Village Baptist Church, Bella Vista, AR. Lenore "drank from the well and never thirsted again" in following God at a young age. As a result, she was a woman of faith who remained steadfast and optimistic even in the worst of times. Her love of God touched many who entered her sphere, shaping them as she reflected the divine image of God. As a musician, she played the organ, sang in choirs and women's groups, and directed children's choirs. Her faith in God was the center of her life and even in her last years would attend worship services online. She and Martin raised their children to be lovers of God who remain active in their own faith communities.
Lenore and Martin enjoyed a life laced with many adventures. The kids enjoyed the truck camper and traveling to visit family across the Midwest and Oregon. Notably, these family events featured moments with Lenore's famous desserts! Upon retirement and moving to Bella Vista, they volunteered for the Red Cross disaster relief and had 14 missions, including the World Trade Center in 2001. Lenore's love for music led to many visits to Branson where she and Martin enjoyed life to the fullest. As loving and enthusiastic grandparents, Lenore and Martin frequently traveled to provide love and support, becoming an integral presence in their grandchildren's lives. When not traveling, Lenore could be found doting on the love of her life, Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurthur and Hazel and her son, Terry.
Lenore is survived by her husband, Martin; children, Randy (Autumn) Brink, Dr. Gary (Anita) Brink, daughter, Brenda Brink and daughter-in-law, Chris Brink: grandchildren, Marissa, Tyler, Trevor, Erika, Mathea and Noah; great grandchildren, Laini, Laurelle, Landon, Colton, Olive and Clara Elizabeth; and siblings, Lucy, James (Sally) and Eunice (Tom), although separated by miles, always near in heart, will miss their older sister dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Village Baptist Church, 380 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, AR followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., with interment at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery.
The funeral service will be streamed on the church's Facebook page. A special thank you to Mercy Hospital, Promenade Rehab, Elite Hospice, Cornerstone Caregiving, Pastor Harold and many devoted friends for their care.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory. On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
